Never let your teeth and gums become victims of poor oral hygiene habits. Even if you visit your dentist for routine checkups and examinations, you will still need to put forth a modest amount of effort to keep your smile clean. This includes removing plaque and debris that may begin to pool in your mouth. To help keep your mouth safe, always brush twice a day and floss once a day as well. However, because brushing cannot clean between teeth, interdental cleaners such as dental floss will need to be used to reach the areas that brushes cannot.

Two highly reliable forms of interdental cleaners are threaded dental flossers and water flossers. Water flossers are routinely used for individuals who may suffer from joint pain or old age and need an easy tool to operate. Water flossers rinse the areas between teeth with reliable beams of water. Similarly, traditional flossers that use thread can accurately clean all areas between teeth for ensuring plaque buildup cannot occur. Make sure that if you are using a flosser to clean between teeth, to always use it for at least 2 to 3 minutes a day to effectively clean between each and every tooth in your mouth including the teeth in the very back. For additional help with cleaning out your mouth, you can wash it out with water or mouthwash for an additional level of cleaning.
